New
Zealand is geographically in the southern and eastern hemispheres.
Ideally located in the South Pacific Ocean, this is one of the places to
see a new day, 12 hours ahead of Greenwich Mean Time (GMT). Here
daylight savings starts in September on the last Sunday and ends in
April on the first Sunday when the clocks are set back to GMT +12. The
same is done in summer with clocks being put ahead one hour to GMT +13.
